A few days ago I noticed a blue response to an off the wall thread in the official forums that asked for “ghetto hearthing” to be nerfed. The thread was, of course, started by a mage that claimed that the exploiting of the free hearth cost him/her gold because people didn’t need ports anymore… Eyonix responded with what seemly looked like a sarcastic way of blowing off the subject: Eyonix But then mages who hate being asked for ports will make rant posts demanding we bring back ghetto hearthing. Mages like to yell.

Still lots of 3.1 info to sort through, but a very exciting change to dual spec was announced today by CM Zarhym. Apparently the level requirement will be lowered to 40, lexicon requirement removed, and will only take a 5 second, out of combat, cast time to swap. Zarhym Dual specialization isn’t something everyone needs.

Tieler of Feathermoon sent word that he, amazingly enough, blew up the Ebon Hold target dummy. I have never been on a dummy long enough to even notice the health move, much less kill it, so I’m not sure if this is a common feat. Either way it was cool and midly funny so I thought I would share.

More blue info was leaked tonight about an upcoming event on the PTR, The Argent Tournament, will be tested once the PTR is up (if ever!). Below is the info: Zarhym In patch 3.1, a new world event titled “The Argent Tournament” will be coming to Northrend! This tournament will be live on the 3.1 PTR and open for testing, though certain aspects are still in development. Players will find a host of new features here, including: The ability to prove your worth to a capital city of your choosing through our new mounted combat system (still in development) New daily quests to construct the great Argent Crusade coliseum for glorious battles to come All new rewards – new items, titles, banners, tabards, pets, mounts, and more All new achievements Many more festivities, and more to come in future content updates! Players will find the Argent Tournament in Icecrown.

Corpse Explosion has to be one of, if not the, funnest spells in the game. It used to be a mediocre talent, but 3.0.8 gave it some much needed love.
