Zarhym posted some upcomign mount changes that are coming with 3.2 tonight and they’re huge! Zarhym In the next major content patch, we intend to adjust mount requirements to further improve the leveling experience in World of Warcraft. In addition, cast times for summoning all mounts will be reduced to 1.5 seconds, down from 3 seconds

Activision Blizzard announced that first quarter earnings topped initial estimates coming in at $981 million in revenue. CEO Bobby Kotik said “Our better-than-expected first quarter results were driven by strong global consumer response to the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchises and Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft , despite challenging economic times”. A rather uneventful PTR build 9742 was pushed today and an even more uneventful BlizzCast 8 came out today. Looks like the PTR DK changes are basically tweaks or rollbacks from previous changes and BlizzCast 8 basically focused on D3 and SC2. Here is a rundown of the DK changes via MMOC .

More blue info was leaked tonight about an upcoming event on the PTR, The Argent Tournament, will be tested once the PTR is up (if ever!). Below is the info: Zarhym In patch 3.1, a new world event titled “The Argent Tournament” will be coming to Northrend! This tournament will be live on the 3.1 PTR and open for testing, though certain aspects are still in development. Players will find a host of new features here, including: The ability to prove your worth to a capital city of your choosing through our new mounted combat system (still in development) New daily quests to construct the great Argent Crusade coliseum for glorious battles to come All new rewards – new items, titles, banners, tabards, pets, mounts, and more All new achievements Many more festivities, and more to come in future content updates! Players will find the Argent Tournament in Icecrown.

In a thread of Mage QQ today, Ghostcrawler let is be known that information about class changes for 3.1 would be coming out “soon”. Hopefully that means that 3.1 will be on PTR’s “soon” as well. Ghostcrawler We are going to be announcing some of our plans for classes in 3.1 fairly soon.

Patch 3.0.8 hit today, as you all know, and with it came the typical bugs, crashes and needed hotfixes. I’ll start with the Death Knight related bugs and errors. Death Knight creation is not so account wide, fix incoming.
